Amidst the hurly burly and hustle bustle of work, it’s always nice to have dinner in good company. Cocky company. It’s wonderful. Intellectual simulation isn’t always necessary. The last thing you need is theories on relativity and stocks heaved your way after a gruesome day.

As I seek to answer the 2nd question, forgive me if I’ve lost my masculine edge. I’m in a more compromising mood than most times. Like hell, I just washed the dishes and eradicated a cockroach with a Machiavellian smile which got mum all suspichy. Bottom line, Jon is in a good mood. :)

Many say Singaporean women are hard to please. Do you think our women are becoming so independent they’ve become more domineering than men? And should they learn to be more docile?

Yes, definitely, women are becoming are more independent, this doesn’t even warrant a reply. More domineering? It depends, they are always soft men around who enjoy getting hen-picked. E.g. DAD. Sorry pops, you’re a sheaf of corn as far as mum is concerned.

1. Deep down, every woman likes to be showered with tenderness and love. It’s true. A front is everything a woman has. Okay, not FRONT as in boobs. Beneath the bitchy/heck care exterior, she too needs affection. Being “hard to please” should encourage men to work harder. What is a woman who accepts everything with a smile? Guys and chicks should always hold back. Girls more so.

2. More independent. Hmmm… yes. How about she opening your bag to chuck money in. Never seen that one before. We live and learn don’t we? hahaha… I’m cracking myself up. Ahhh *helpless laugh*.

Being independent physically and emotionally is a good thing. Don’t expect the man to be around 24-7 physically. It ain’t possible nor plausible. Besides, I think you’d get sick of him anyway. Share emotions but being too emotionally dependent means that when hiccups occur, you fall flat on your face. Now, that isn’t good at all.

3. Docile. Why should women be docile? Alright, as the man, I wouldn’t expect the lady to kill lizards and centipedes but then again, I don’t necessarily expect her to cook as well. I reckon the role of women in society has evolved over the years. Subservient women are boring and passive. Then again, I know men who like this sort. Mainly so that they can two, three of four-time their chick and beat her should she dare protest.

I see women as supporting the man’s leading role. For example, the man is the head of the household. Say he goes oversees, then the woman has responsibility to run the household. A leader and co-leader, rather than a leader and a follower. That said, men MUST take the lead. This is in accordance with nature. It is only natural. Men should always take care of the lady more than the other way round.

You know, there’s a difference between being obedient and doing something for your man out of love. For example, shelling his prawns for him. If it’s done purely out of love, then you’re not being subservient are you? But of course, the whole world knows that men are really the ones who shell prawns for his girl so she won’t get dirty. Porcelain don’t look nice soiled mind you.

Singapore women are NOT hard to please. Hey men, look at yourselves. Maybe it’s just the typical Singapore man is devolving into a useless bum; an inadequate twerp with low self-esteem and terminal inability to communicate with the articulate woman. Maybe you should go get tuition on how to boost your EQ levels. I’m not slamming the men of course, just that you, and I need wake up calls. Women are no longer ‘baby producing machines’, they’ve a chance to be educated just like you. And you know what? They are that much smarter than you, EQ and IQ wise. Embarassed? It’s scientifically proven. Women are more intelligent emotionally. Unless she’s naïve, she’d probably read your thoughts faster than yourself. Though of course, there are quite a number of naïve women who will not do the right thing for themselves. How many times have you heard “He cheated on me but I still want him back”. Sorry, I offer no explanation for this. Low self-respect or confidence might be reason, it’s pathetic though. Women like these should learn that they deserve better. Leave the bastard and go look for greener pastures. Can’t find anyone else still beats getting abused. My opinion of course. I’m sure plenty females will violently object.

Hmmm… I’m becoming feminist am I not? Wah, like I said, I’m simply in a concessive frame of mind. That’s alright, I stand subject to my own theories as well.
