I’m lost in wonder of God’s phenomenal love. Let me tell you why in chronological order.
Today was a miracle waiting to happen. They say count your blessings one by one. But if blessings avalanche towards you, what you gonna do about it? I was bowled over.
1. This morning, I was contemplating taking MC. After all, I have an exam tomorrow and I figured out studying in Macca’s would definitely inspire me more than reporting to camp. So I sms my mate “Hey, I’m reporting sick today. No choice, I need to study.” THEN I feel really bad, firstly because it’s the wrong thing to do, and secondly, I’m leaving them in camp because I’m selfish. I sms him again “Forget it, I’m coming to work.” He’s a bit taken back since we would normally jump at the chance to take MC. My reply “It sounds a bit stupid but it’s the right thing to do”. I think he just died on the other line.
2. So well, I decide to ask my officers for study leave. I’m expecting “NO, of course NOT! You’re just a stupid punk serving National Service” as an answer, but to my pleasant surprise, they give me 2 days off. And it’s unrecorded leave too! Woah! I’m really touched. Think about this: If I didn’t come to work, then I wouldn’t have gotten those 2 days, would I?
3. But it doesn’t end there. After Thursday’s paper, I’ve got a design submission due Friday, which is the reason I needed 2 days off. All of a sudden at 3pm, Nadia messages me and tells me Friday’s submission is postponed to NEXT FRIDAY. I’m spellbound really. It’s turning out to be a great day.
4. I tell my officers that I honestly don’t need the Friday off anymore since my submission is postponed. But they just tell me “Ah, don’t worry. Just use the time to work towards it and enjoy yourself.” Again, I’m stunned. He insisted I take the Friday off. What a WOWSER!!
5. Later in the night, I get Beckham and Owen figures at a really good price. Okay, this isn’t really important and out of point but still…
6. Yan Tyng and Sheralyn call. Sheralyn called from Australia and she’s coming back TOMORROW!!!! It’s really exciting when friends come back during the holidays!
7. J is starting work on Monday. I’m so happy for her, it’s surely gonna be an enriching experience.
8. J is gonna win 2 million in the lottery. :)
Tell me. Can this really all happen by co-incidence?
Bottom line: God honours those who honour him first. :)
